MARCH 2024
A NOTE FROM JESS
Welcome to 2024, the year of Transitions! Didn’t we start this year off with a bang!
In January, Explore and Soar transitioned into a new branding change, which included a new logo, a website upgrade and a new uniform. We have loved hearing your feedback and look forward to this new era.
Apart from our new transition, I would like to extend a personal warm welcome to all of the new families who have joined our Explore & Soar family. We also want to celebrate our current clients and their families on achieving their goals and changing their therapy supports accordingly. It has been a joy to hear about your progress from both you and our team.
This year, our mission is to strengthen and foster our connections with you all and work towards achieving your goals. We aim to support you in a way that enables you to move forward with less reliance on us.

CELEBRATING SUCCESS
Clients Achieving Their Goals and Soaring High!
We are thrilled to share a story of success from one of our clients, ‘Master Explorer’, who was facing challenges in various areas of life.
Master Explorer had limited engagement with his therapist, family and school. However, after just three sessions of implementing DIR (Developmental, Individual Differences, Relationship-based) strategies, we have seen remarkable progress. Our focus on fostering relationship building, enhancing engagement, and supporting nonverbal communication through play and movement, as well as understanding communication circles, has greatly improved his engagement.
Master Explorer now confidently welcomes his therapist into his home, marking a significant milestone in his journey. What’s more, he has taken the initiative to communicate not only with his therapist but also with his mum.
We are proud to see Master Explorer soaring high and celebrate positive changes that are a sign of progress and growth. We will continue to support and guide him on his journey, and we are inspired by him and all our clients who courageously strive towards their goals. Let’s soar high together!

STUDENT PLACEMENT
4th year student!
We have an exciting update to share!
On 22 April, we will be welcoming a fourth-year Occupational Therapy student from Charles Sturt University (CSU) to our team. The student will be working with Maddie for a period of eight weeks and will gain practical experience and knowledge as they prepare to enter the OT profession after graduating.
During this period, the student will accompany Maddie to appointments. Before they begin, Maddie will contact you to discuss what to anticipate during your appointments. We are excited to share our knowledge and expertise with the student throughout their time with us.
JULY GROUP PROGRAM
Save the Date
During the upcoming July School Holidays, we will be running our Group Programs.
This year, the programs will be held during the second week of school holidays, from July 15th to 19th. If you are interested in enhancing and building your child’s regulation, social skills, and motor skills, including fine and gross motor skills, as well as developing their cooking abilities to achieve their goals, please contact your therapist today.
We will provide more information closer to the date.
INVOICING PROCEDURE CHANGES
Moving forward, we will send invoices exclusively on Mondays. This adjustment is being implemented to streamline our operations and ensure efficiency and consistency.
Additionally, we would like to clarify that you will have a standard 7-day payment window from the date of receipt of your invoice to settle the outstanding balance. We kindly request your cooperation in adhering to this timeframe to help us maintain smooth financial transactions.
Therefore, there will be no invoicing on Thursdays for the foreseeable future. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause and assure you that we are working diligently to ensure minimal disruption to our clients.

Gravity Maze

If you’re looking for a fun strategy game, you might want to check out this one. This strategy game requires visual motor, visual perception, and fine motor skills. The game’s goal is to guide a marble from point A to point B by navigating it through various towers of different sizes and ramps. To successfully complete the maze, players need to use their problem-solving skills to determine the correct colour and direction for each piece. The game includes challenge cards that provide clues to help players solve increasingly difficult puzzles, with challenges ranging from 1 to 60. The towers can be arranged vertically, horizontally, or stacked to create a challenging maze. Take up the challenge and see how far you can go!
